Planner
The Textile Planner is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate planning, ordering, and availability of textile materials to support production needs. This role acts as a key link between design, sourcing, and production teams to align material planning with business demands and timelines.
Job description
Supervise and coordinate overall production planning activities in alignment with sales demand and production capacity.
Plan and place fabric and sample orders in SAP based on Sales Department input.
Check material availability in SAP for all orders and coordinate with Sales and Purchasing to ensure readiness.
Monitor and follow up on fabric deliveries, confirming schedules and details in SAP, and align with Production teams.
Conduct daily planning and order confirmation for incoming orders.
Communicate regularly with production department heads and the Production Manager to track progress and resolve issues.
Analyze material specs and plant capacity to define planning needs.
Coordinate with Logistics for shipment schedules and update weekly lead-time reports for internal use.
Inform Sales and Customer Service promptly about any production issues that may affect shipment plans.
Profile
Diploma or bachelor's degree in related field
Proficient in English communication and writing
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Prior experience as a Planner or in PPIC is an advantage.
Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and SAP is a plus.
Knowledge of the textile industry is an advantage.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Capable of developing and maintaining effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
