Building sustainable businesses is a key target. Certificates which quantify our efforts in sustainability are becoming more important. After the successfully certification of BDRO end of last year, we are proud to share we recently passed the process to comply with ‘STeP by Oeko-Tex’ in BDPoland by the highest level 3 with 71% (Level 3: exemplary implementation of best practices). The “Detox to Zero by Oeko-Tex” performance is integrated in the certificate.
STeP (Sustainable Textile Production) is a certificate that evaluates the chemicals policy, quality management, environmental management, social responsibility, safety and environmental performance of an organization/business. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
At least 70% off the basic criteria and 100% of exclusion criteria must be achieved. The STeP certification comprises a 3-level scoring system: Level 1: entry level Level 2: good implementation of best practices with further optimization potential Level 3: exemplary implementation of best practices The Oeko-Tex institute BD Poland worked with is Centexbel Gent Belgium.
