BekaertDeslee and HeiQ sign an Exclusive Supply Agreement for HeiQ Allergen* Tech

BekaertDeslee has signed an exclusive partnership with HeiQ Allergen* Tech, a revolutionary new technology that helps reducing exposure to inanimate allergens. This exclusive technology will be commercialized as Purotex+ powered by HeiQ Allergen* Tech.

Under this agreement, BekaertDeslee will have exclusive worldwide rights to apply HeiQ Allergen* Tech to mattress ticking, which is used to cover mattresses. HeiQ Allergen* Tech, launched in October 2022, is a 100% biobased and naturally derived technology that reduces exposure to inanimate allergens such as house dust mite matter, and pet allergens with the help of active probiotics.

It has been granted the Allergy UK Seal of Approval by The British Allergy Foundation following review and assessment of the technology. Additionally, testing by the independent, accredited lab, BMA Labor in Germany, has shown that Allergen* Tech is highly effective at reducing exposure to inanimate allergens, such as house dust mite matter and pet allergens, with a reduction of 83.6% for cat allergens, 76.5% for dog allergens, and 96.6% for house dust mite matter allergens.
