- Coordinating, facilitating and executing the implementation of the digital manufacturing strategy to answer and accelerate our current business needs (productivity, flexibility, time to market, training, quality compliance, etc.)
- Advise Executive Management on driving transformational change regarding digital manufacturing theory and processes
- Act as BD’s ambassador on digital manufacturing and industrial IoT- or Industry 4.0 agenda
- Drive and deliver the BD’s digital manufacturing program
- Lead and develop the partnerships & project portfolio for BD’s Digital Manufacturing program
- Build connectivity between systems across the whole of BD, breaking down remaining silo’s of data, insight and expertise
- Implement and execute solutions inside the Manufacturing 4.0 toolbox including selection of the potential technologies (Big Date science, edge computing, machine learning, AI, r/cobots, Augmented Reality, etc.)
- Coordinate & implement pilots of selected digital solutions, lead the people transformation, and to coordinate the roll-out across the plants worldwide
- Manage internal and external communication about all the initiatives
- Work in close collaboration with Engineering, Operations, R&D and IT on group level
- Be part of BD Group Operations team and work with our different business units worldwide
- Report to the Manager EEHS
Profile
- MSc in Engineering or relevant field
- Background in digital, IT/OT technology, etc.
- Experienced in (textile) manufacturing and affinity with project management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Broad and deep understanding of the digital manufacturing market, technology and opportunities, as well as insights in the challenges in this area in digital adoption
- Driven, curious and ambitious person with a passion for enabling BD’s manufacturing department to innovate with leading edge technology
- Keen interest in new digital technologies
- Skilled communicator with ability to liaise with senior level and represent BekaertDeslee globally
- In depth understanding of change management and people transformation
- Excellent skills in data science (algorithms, AI, …)
- Able to travel to different Business Unites and suppliers (15%)
