Slitter Operator

Job Content

• Keep the area around the machine clean and safe to work in
• Retrieve and position full A-frames at the slitter
• Inspect the cutting blades for proper operation
• Monitor the exact slit dimensions (measure and set)
• Set the specified roll length
• Slit the rolls in exact accordance with the specified dimensions
• Monitor the slitting process and correct where needed
• Assemble boxes for packaging
• Place slit fabric into boxes
• Record the required data in the SAP, and properly identify the boxes with printed labels on top and side
• Assist in any area requested by manager at any time

Profile

• Must be able to distinguish all colors (not color blind)
• Stand for long periods of time on concrete floors
• Push and pull heavy A-frames full of fabric
• Use scissors, tape gun, pneumatic staple gun and computer
